China Winter sport awards honors CC international experts

On July 5th, Chinese Sports authority has held the ‘2020-21 Chinese Winter Sports Commendation Congress’ in Beijing, China. The congress awarded 117 individuals and 19 teams for their contribution to the winter sports development in China, including medical and sports scientific institutions; sports service teams; high-tech etc. The awards encourages teams and individuals continue their efforts developing winter sports.

Among the individuals awarded, Mr. Georg Zipfel (Germany) was awarded with honorary title of ‘China Ice&Snow Sports Scientist’ as for his efforts in supporting the development of Cross-Country competitions in China. He is one of 4 international winter sports experts (one from Finland; 2 from USA) who received the award. This has indicated strong international expertise’s presence in China has greatly contributed to the winter sports development, as well as their contribution has been acknowledged and appreciated by China.
