The Czech Cross-Country Team has selected their squads for the upcoming season 2021/22. With minor changes, the Cross-Country National Team trusts in the strong performances and efforts shown by their anchor athletes. The first four-day training camp of the new term led the National Team from Bozi Dar to Dresden in Germany - by Roller Ski only without any car transportation.

A four day training camp on Roller Skis for the mens Cross-Country team started with the first stage, leacing from Bozi Dar to Cinovec, around 100km of track done in Classic technique. The second stage was completed in Free technique and took the team from Ústí nad Labem to Dresden in Germany. The third stage featured 6x10 min intervals at the training center in Altenberg. In the final stage, the team currently plans to go across Switzerland back to Liberec, with an expected skiing time at around 4 hours and a distance of around 60 km.

“My plan is to do something new, I had originally planned even a longer camp with 8-9 days, but the weather forecast has not been that great. So we decided to shorten it to four days. Anyway, the guys rollerski in any kind of weather. They will cover the full distance on rollerskis, without any car transport,” Vasil Husak, head coach of the men’s team said ahead of the trip.

The national team is going to stay in Liberec for another week and athletes will undergo medical tests followed by intensive week of technique training.
