Finnish Cross-Country National Team 2021
May 27, 2021·Cross-CountryIn the coming season, Finlands A-national team of Cross-Country skiing consists of 14 athletes, will be seven men and women each. Head coach Teemu Pasanen underlines the Beijing Olympics for the upcoming season. During the training season, the A-national team will undergo high altitude training camps several times.
The clear main goal of the national team for the next season is the Beijing Winter Olympics and the national team's camp activities are designed to ensure the most competitive preparation towards the main goal of the season. In the coming season, high-level training will play an important role.
During the camp season, the national team has three high-pitch camp sessions planned: June in Livigno, August in Passo Lavaze and in October at Val Senales.
The training team of the national team is now slightly smaller in size than in previous seasons.

With Juho Oksanen alongside of the womens head coach Ville Oksanen, new inputs will be set for this important upcoming season. The B national team is also under construction and aims to create sustainable solutions in the post-Beijing Olympics. Mikko Virtanen is the responsible coach of the B-national team . The group trains mainly in Vuokatti.
"It is important to look at the post-Beijing period in coaching as well. The B-national team creates sustainable solutions that take young athletes forward on a large scale," Virtanen says.
