With only 20 years - Helene Marie Fossesholm is on the watch list of many Cross-Country experts. The young Norwegian has raised (and raced) to become one of Norways future top-stars. Helene is indeed a fascinating young athlete who not only drives a healthy approach on dealing with her role as a favourite but also in her modes of training. With the participation at the Norwegian MTB Nationals last weekend, Helene chases what she loves to do and proved her talents once more.

Veldre Sag - around 150km - north of Oslo hosted the Norwegian Nationals in MTB on the past weekend. On Saturdays turn, Helene Marie Fossesholm claimed the title of Norwegian Champion by covering the 26.5km course in a time of 1h31 minutes and 11 seconds - 22 seconds before her successors.

On Sundays short-track race, the 20 year-young Fossesholm had her eyes on doubling up her victory from the previous day but finished the 9.1km short-distance race 9 seconods after the winning Ingrid Bøe Jacobsen at 26 minutes and 35 seconds. With a victory and silver medal in the bag, Helene records a very successfull MTB weekend - congratulations from the FIS Family!
