This Saturday, the cross country skiers of the french team were on all fronts. If Richard Jouve and the sprinters competed successfully in Livigno for the World Cup, the rest of the team took part in the French championships in Arvieux for a classic mass-start.

In the men’s race, Jules Lapierre broke a pole and even fell but still won ahead of his teammates Clément Parisse and Hugo Lapalus.

Among the women, Delphine Claudel, the first French woman to win a World Cup stage in the last Tour de Ski, easily dominated the race by winning ahead of Juliette Ducordeau and local star Flora Dolci.

Soon Junior World Championship

In the junior's race, Liv Coupat easily won the ladies national title, an important result just before joining Canada for the World Junior Championship. And in the mens competition Mathieu Blanc took the victory.

This is the second time in 3 weeks that the local team has mobilized at the last minute to save canceled national competitions. And according to the words of all the participants, the venue and the organization were largely up to the event.

Now is the time to look forward to the World Cup in Prémanon-Les Rousses that already starts on Friday.
