10 days before the start of the 17th edition of the FIS Tour de Ski presented by Le Gruyère AOP, all three organizers together with their National Ski Federations and the FIS Cross-Country team approved the snow conditions for the event series.

From 31st December to 8th January, the Tour will stop in Switzerland's Val Müstair for two stages, before moving on to the former World Championships tracks of Oberstdorf, Germany. Traditionally, the Tour de Ski celebrates its final stages - with three race days this year - in Val di Fiemme, the venue of the Cross-Country competitions for the Olympic Winter Games 2026.

7 stages in 8 days are scheduled to bring the Cross-Country elite through middle Europe and give them the best possible preparation for the World Ski Championships that are to come in February 2023 in Planica (SLO).
