Another great day in the Finnish forests, and the Swedish women were really strong, also today. A lot of people had taken the trip to Ruka to see the second race of the season, in the COOP FIS Cross Country World Cup. And with good courses, even better athletes and great audience it was a really good atmosphere at the stadium.

Double Swedish podium
It really seems that the Swedish women are in good shape at the start of the season, yesterday they took the first two podiums, and today they did not want to be any worse. Frida Karlsson was sitting in the leader chair for a long time but watched Ebba Andersson hit fantastic times on the intermediates.

As Andersson crossed the finish line, she took the victory in the end with six seconds and takes her second World Cup victory, right before her good friend Frida Karlsson on second place. Katharina Hennig from Germany was fighting a battle with Anne Kjersti Kalvå. Hennig finished only 0,2 seconds before Kalvå and was the last woman on the podium today.
