Fighting for the third place

Yesterdays winner Ebba Andersson was the first woman to get out on the 20 km, with Frida Karlsson right behind. Early in the race the two of them gathered togheter and had almost full control the whole race from the group behind.  So just a couple of kilometers before the finish line, Karlsson putted in an extra gear, and got the necessary gap she needed to take the victory.

It was really great, me and Ebba tried to push hard from the beginning. And when the gap was safe, i thought in my head, on the last lap. There I will go. Frida Karlsson

Then there were several athlets fighting for the third place. Nobody dared to try to make a final move, so it all had to end in the final run. There was Tiril Udnes Weng the fastest woman and got to complete her weekend with another podium.
