SCHILPARIO (ITA) - Maerta Rosenberg (SWE) secured here second gold in todays 20km Mass start in Schilpario (ITA). She was strong throughout the whole day, and defeated the rest in the long uphill on the last round. Eva Ingebrigtsen (NOR) was closest to the Swedish woman, but had never a chance for the gold. Liliane Gagnon did like Alison Mackie yesterday and secured the bronze for Canada.

It means a lot, I am super happy. On the last uphill I got a little gap that I needed. I am very happy today to secure my second gold. Maerta Rosenberg

Mathias Holbæk already had one gold from the 20km mass start as a junior, a title he claimed in Whistler (CAN). Last year in Planica, he continued his success by securing another gold in his first year as a U23 athlete. Today, he completed the hat trick, winning his third consecutive gold in as many years. Niko Anttola secured the silver for Finland, while Norway’s Thomas Mollestad claimed the bronze.

During the warm up I was a little aggressive with the wax, so I did not feel I had the best skiis down. But up I had very good skiis up, so then I just had to take the chance on the way up the long hill. It feels amazing to do the hat trick and win again today. Mathias Hoelbaek

Remember you can watch it all on FIS TV and Youtube. Friday is the last day with individual competitions for the juniors with 10km individual start.
