What could be better than spending a summer's day enjoying a sporting activity in a beautiful environment ?

For its 17th edition, the annual Swiss-Ski Golf Trophy was on the programme last Friday at the renowned Crans-sur-Sierre golf course.

For once, a host of Swiss-Ski athletes, including Marco Odermatt, Loïc Meillard, Michelle Gisin and Daniel Yule, showed their skills not on a white but on a green surface.

A total of 24 flights took to the golf course in Valais on a sunny day. Most of them were led by active or former athletes. Not all were playing for glory, but for a good cause.

This year's Golf Trophy raised almost 102,000 Swiss francs, all of which will be donated to the promotion of up-and-coming snowsport athletes in Switzerland.

"I'm delighted that we were able to have a great time together on the green again this year, and that we were able to make another great contribution to young talent," says Annalisa Gerber, a member of the Board of Directors. Annalisa Gerber added: "It is also pleasing that Swiss-Ski was able to host the French-speaking part of Switzerland this year and play on the magnificent course at Crans Montana.
