Le Gruyère AOP - Presenting Sponsor of the FIS Cross Country World Cup

Le Gruyère AOP has been a long-time partner of the FIS Cross Country World Cup, first starting its engagement during the 2015-2016 season as a Premium Partner. In 2019-2020, the Swiss-based cheese company introduced the Le Gruyère AOP Cheese Challenge, which saw athletes rewarded for their podium performances with both a block of cheese and points that were accumulated throughout the season.

More than anything else, the preservation of Le Gruyère AOP’s inimitable taste and irreproachable quality is thanks to both a know-how that is 100% artisanal and a tradition handed down from generation to generation since 1115. The association with cross-country skiing is undeniable and authentic. Indeed, this sport is one of the most traditional winter sports that requires daily hard work and dedication, much like the values that our cheese makers bring to produce a quality cheese.
