Austrian home team for Championships in Seefeld nominated

The Austrian Ski Association has named the following six athletes to their team for the home FIS Nordic World Ski Championshiops in Seefeld:
- FRITZ Martin
- GREIDERER Lukas
- GRUBER Bernhard
- KLAPFER Lukas
- REHRL Franz-Josef
- SEIDL Mario
Five of the six athletes had already been fixed last week and the last remaining spot on the team went to 2015 Falun World Champion Bernhard Gruber.
Sports Director Mario Stecher: “We are in the good situation to be able to send a strong team to the World Championships. Unfortunately, an effect of having such a strong team is that some athletes who already showed World Championship-worthy performances will not get a spot on the team. The decision for the last spot was made in favour of Bernhard Gruber. Bernhard showed a rising shape in the last few competitions and presented himself as a fast skier throughout the entire season. We think that he could be our joker especially in the Team Event.”
The entire team is currently in Oberstdorf (GER) for a last training camp.
