Tara Geraghty-Moats will be taking time out of her own competition schedule to serve as an Athlete Role Model at the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland. She will serve this role in the middle of January and will be present at the venue for eight days.

Selected by the International Federations whose sports will be featured in Lausanne, the Athlete Role Models (ARMs) will be on hand to chat to the young athletes in the Youth Olympic Village, and will also share their experiences through a series of educational activities and workshops, including the hugely popular “Chat with Champions” Q&A sessions. This opportunity is perfect for Geraghty-Moats as it allows her to help guide the future generation of athletes, specifically Women’s Nordic Combined skiers. “I’m very passionate about helping promote winter sports and being a mentor to young athletes,” says Geraghty-Moats. “Hopefully I can also lend some encouragement, and help insure everyone has a fulfilling time competing."

With the women’s Nordic Combined event making its Olympic debut in Lausanne, 2018/19 Continental Cup champion revealed her pride at being chosen to mentor the trailblazing Nordic combined athletes who will compete at the YOG.
