As the most successful of the three, Adam Cieslar started in 78 World Cups with rank 7 in Schonach in 2017 as his best result. Marusarz and Cieslar were also part of the Olympic team in PyeongChang in 2018 and all three athletes were part of the Polish team who achieved the 8th position at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld (AUT).
Adam Cieslar: “In 2001 my adventure with sport with Nordic Combine began. During this time on my way I met many wonderful people, I visited a lot of the world, I learned a lot. For sure, this time was not in vain. I have many good memories. As in life, there were better and worse moments in sport. Last seasons, although I gave as much as possible below my expectations. Certainly it was not an easy decision to end of career, which was also influenced by several factors. I would like to thank my parents who supported me from the beginning and thanks to whom my adventure with sport began, my wife for her forgiveness and support, the club WSS WISŁA and AZS AWF KATOWICE and the Polish Ski Association as well as sponsors without whom the highest level of sporting would not have been possible, to all trainers and people with whom I could work and learn a lot.”
Wojciech Marusarz: “Despite my willingness, motivation and will to fight without financial support, I could finally not continue my career. This adventure provided many beautiful moments, great experiences. Not all dreams have been fulfilled but one of the biggest, the Olympics has been fulfilled. I will never forget this moment.
I would like to thank everyone for their support over these 17 years, God for the health of my parents, my fiancee for her understanding and all trainers because there were many of them. My relatives, sponsors and all persons who helped me along this path. I would also like to thank my teammates for the fight. I do not part with sport right now. There will be another role I think that will also bring a lot of emotions to see.”
Pawel Twardosz: “A man, an athlete, at some point in his life comes to a crossroads, where he must choose which direction he wants to go. I just chose a path which is unfortunately associated with the end of my sports career. That's why I wanted to thank you all for the support you gave me. In particular, God for what He gave me, for every achievement I gained. For every corner of the world that I could visit (and to be honest it was) for every person he put on my path. I thank my parents for helping me make this dream come true when. Thank you to my club - Parish Sports Club Olimpijczyk Gilowice, for helping me develop in this sport that shaped me as a human. Thanks also to friends of my family, who also supported me and my sister financially, but not only because they were also my wonderful supporters. I also thank all my trainers with whom I had the opportunity to train, from whom I also learned a lot and the Polish Ski Association for several years of cooperation, as well as the Ministry of Sport and all the people who have contributed a bit to what I have achieved in sport life.”
