Vinzenz Geiger is the winner of the second FIS Summer Grand Prix 2021 competition in Oberwiesenthal/Germany.

Before the race, Terence Weber showed a strong performance at the Fichtelbergschanze HS105. With a jump on 104 meters the German collected a total of 130.5 points and was the first one to go into the roller ski race this afternoon.

The second place in Ski Jumping went to yesterdays PCR winner Martin Fritz from Austria with 103.5 meters. His 127.4 points gave him a 12 second backlog on the leader from Germany.
Rank 3 was also taken by Austria, with the current owner of the blue BIB Mario Seidl (103.5 mts, 127.3 pts), who went into the race 13 seconds behind Weber and secured the second rank in the end.

The furthest jump of the day was performed by Vinzenz Geiger from Germany, who placed second in Oberhof, with 105.5 meters. Due to good wind conditions he lost some points and started with a 20 second backlog.

The German, who placed 5th after jumping, saved his strength during the roller ski race, staying in the back of the five-men leading group.
Due to his sprint strength the Team Olympic gold medalist from Pyeongchang managed to pull away on the last hill and beat Austrian Mario Seidl (+1.2 sec) in a close finish sprint.
Rank 3 went to Grand Prix Overall Leader Ilkka Herola, who used a lot of his strength during the race, leading the group up the hill. In the end he couldn’t keep up with Geiger and Seidl and reached the finish line at the top of the Fichtelberg with a 12.4 second backlog.

Results: Men Individual Gundersen NH/10km – 1.9.21 Oberwiesenthal
