Long-time Slovenian Ski Jumping coach Luka Koprisvsek passed away in Ljubljana at age 77 after a long illness.

In the 1970s, Luka Koprivsek was the first professional Ski Jumping coach for the club SSK Ilirija in Ljubljana, later he was the head coach and assistant coach of the Slovenian national team where he was working with jumpers like Primoz Ulaga, Miran Tepes, Vasja Bajc and Matjaz Debelak.

During his time as coach of the team, Matjaz Debelak won the bronze medal at the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary, the team took silver in Canada. Three years later, Franci Petek claimed World Championship gold on the large hill in Predazzo 1991.

Luka Koprivsek was also coach of the Slovenian national team in Nordic Combined.
