The two Slovenes Andraz Pograjc and Nejc Dezman have decided to end their Ski Jumping careers.

Andraz Pograjc, who compete in the World Cup for the first time in 2013 and achieved his best results that same year in Planica with the 17th place in the individual competition and the win in the team event, made his final jump about a week ago in Zagorje. "I have already thought about ending my career last year. The decision was not difficult, after thinking about it I came to the conclusion that I have already reached the peak of my Ski Jumping career", the 27-year-old is quoted on delo.si.

His fellow countryman Nejc Dezman announced his retirement on Friday in a post on social media. "After 21 years of ski jumping, it's time to say goodbye. Leaving ski jumps wasn't an easy decision as it is my passion and it was my life, but now it's time to open a new chapter in my life. I had quite some good moments in my career, which will stay in good memory", the Slovene wrote on Facebook.

The former Junior World Champion made his debut in the World Cup in January 2012 and achieved his best individual result with the seventh place in Sapporo in January 2014. 2015 he was a member of the winning Slovenian team at the World Cup in Willingen.
The 26-year-old will make his final jumps during the Continental Cup in Kranj (SLO) early July.

Andraz Pograjc and Nejc Dezman are not the only two Slovenes with World Cup experience, who have decided to end their careers this spring. Tomaz Naglic announced his retirement already shortly after the end of the last winter season.
