Anticipation high ahead of the action-packed weekend in Quebec City
Aug 31, 2018·Freeski Park & PipeQuebec City (CAN) - Two days of qualifications on the slopestyle course in Stoneham as well as on the big air ramp in downtown Quebec City saw more than 100 athletes trying to push it through into the finals before the action-packed weekend with Snowjamboree World Cup events takes over the city and its neighborhoods.
SLOPESTYLE
Thursday's slopestyle qualifiers staged at Stoneham Mountain Resort selected top field of 8 ladies and 16 men that will battle once again in season's fourth slopestyle finals on Sunday.
Johanne Killi (NOR) and Sandra Hoefflin (SUI) shined in the ladies' competitiion while for men it was to Alex Bellemare (CAN), James Woods (GBR), Jonas Hunziker (SUI) and Alex Beaulieu-Marchand (CAN) who topped their respective heats.
The slopestyle finals are scheduled for Sunday, February 12 at 1:00pm EST.

BIG AIR
Big Air qualifiers for the third and final stop of the new FIS Super Series staged at Ilot Fleurie, right downtown Quebec City also saw a pretty deep field of athletes trying to make it into top 6 for the ladies and top 10 for men, and get a chance to compete in Snowjamboree big show on Saturday night.
Sandra Hoefflin came up again on top of the pack in the ladies' competition, with both of her Swiss teamates Mathilde Gremaud and Giulia Tanna finishing on second and third respectively.
Swedish duo of Henrik Harlaut and Jesper Tjeder led the way in men's qualifications.
The big air finals are scheduled for Saturday, February 11 at 8:00pm EST.
