Quebec City (CAN) - From California to Quebec, the World's best slopestyle and big air athletes have traveled all the way to North America's east coast to compete in Snowjamboree World Cup competition scheduled to take place from February 9 to 12, 2017.

Tradition-rich Jamboree presented by Vidéotron Mobile will feature not only the season's fourth slopestyle World Cup competition but also the final stop of the new invented big air Super Series, designed to highlight the extraordinary skills of the very best skiers and snowboarders on the World Cup circuit.

For its inaugural year, the Super Series has showcased big air events in snowboarding and freestyle skiing as part of the World Cup tour stops in Milan (Italy), Mönchengladbach (Germany) and Quebec City.

As a result, a stacked field has descended on Quebec to compete in the 12th edition of the snowboard festival which features freestyle skiing for the first time, to battle for the big air Crystal Globe and the top spot of the Super Series ranking.

While the big air action takes place right downtown Quebec City, Stoneham Mountain Resort is back to business playing host to the slopestyle competition.

Among the favorites for the win, count on the local heroes Kim Lamarre and Alex Beaulieu-Marchand who will lead a strong Canadian team featuring the likes of Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics gold medalist Dara Howell, Yuki Tsubota or Nikki Blackall for ladies, as well as Alex Bellemare, Evan McEachran and Teal Harle throwing it down in men's competition.

In the ladies' event also watch our for Emma Dahlstrom (SWE), the current big air World Cup leader as she will be looking to strengthen her position on top of the ranking and take the Super Series victory with her strongest competitor Lisa Zimmermann sidelined due to knee injury she sustained in Mammoth.

Silvia Bertagna (ITA), Colline Ballet-Baz (FRA), Johanne Killi (NOR) and Swiss duo of Giulia Tanno and Mathilde Gremaud should also be expected to showcase the highest level of riding in both big air and slopestyle competition.

On mens' side of things some of the riders to keep an eye on - besides the ones already named - are representing Sweden Henrik Harlaut and Jesper Tjader, James "Woodsy" Woods of Great Britain, Oystein Braaten of Norway, Jossi Wells of New Zealand, as well as always strong Swiss squad with Andri Ragettli and Kai Mahler leading the way.

The qualifications are scheduled for Thursday (slopestyle) and Friday (big air), while the finals will take place on Saturday (big air) and Sunday (slopestyle).
