Road to PyeongChang: 100 Days to go Flashback
Aug 31, 2018·FreestyleWe’ve now entered the homestretch in the lead-up to the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics Games, with just 100 days to go before the biggest show in winter sports takes to the stage. While the men and ladies of FIS Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding gear up for the final few months of competition that will serve as their auditions for the precious few Olympic spots available on their respective national teams, here we’ll be looking back at some of the highlights from the last two seasons of World Cup test events held at Phoenix Park and Alpensia Ski Jumping Centre (Big Air).
Each freestyle skiing and snowboarding event set to take to the slopes at PyeongChang 2018 had a chance to test the venues over the course of the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons, and those competitions provided a little taste of what ski and snowboard enthusiast can expect to see next February when the Games finally get underway.
With the world’s best athletes now keenly focused on the final few miles on the #roadtopyeongchang, the national teams set to round into form over the coming weeks, and the high-caliber action seen in the Olympic test events acting as a teaser, everyone with even a passing interest in the snow sports world can expect that the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Korea will be one to remember for a long time to come.
