COC action continues in the Southern Hemisphere

Australia/New Zealand Cup tour continues this week with highly anticipated moguls event hitting the famous Toppa’s Dream course in Perisher (AUS) on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 27-28.

And while some of the national teams are currently training in Australia we can expect nothing less than a high caliber freestyle action. On the women’s side Perrine Laffont (FRA) will be facing local heroes Jakarta Anthony (AUS) and Britteny Cox (AUS), while on the men’s side of things the "King of Moguls” Mikael Kingsbury (CAN) will compete against Matt Graham (AUS), Benjamin Cavet (FRA), and Ikuma Horishima (JPN), just to name a few of the favourites.

After back-to-back competitions in Perisher, the athletes will then travel to Mt Buller (AUS), where the dual moguls event is slated to go down on Friday, August 31. For more information check out our FIS data page HERE or the official event’s website HERE.

Meanwhile in New Zealand the 2019 Winter Games NZ are in full swing at Cardrona Alpine Resort, where the 2019/20 FIS Freeski halfpipe World Cup season will kick off in less than two weeks time. But before we get there the ANC halfpipe and slopestyle events are slated to take place already this week.

Initially scheduled for Monday, August 26, both snowboard and freeski halfpipe qualifications have been postponed duo to weather for Tuesday, August 27. The finals will take place on Wednesday, August 28. Slopestyle qualifications will take place on Friday, August 30, while the finals will follow up on Sunday, September 1.

Also here get ready for top-tier action with Kelly Sildaru (EST) and Zhang Kexin (CHN) expected to shine in women’s pipe competition, while Miguel Porteous (NZL) and Henry Sildaru (EST) are the ones to watch in the men’s event.
