Danielle Scott ruled out for a season due to injury
Nov 13, 2019·FreestyleUnfortunate news came out yesterday at Danielle Scott’s instagram profile as the Australia’s aerials skiers is about to miss the 2019/20 World Cup campaign due to knee injury.
The 2017 World Champion silver medallist from Sierra Nevada was supposed to return on tour in December following her break from competing after the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games. In August Scott took part in the water ramp competitions in Mettmenstetten (SUI) and Minsk (BLR) as part of the preparations for the upcoming World Cup tour.
During the training camp in Switzerland, Scott fell down while making her way back to the training site. She torn an ACL in her left knee, which unfortunately puts her sidelined for the rest of the season.
29-year-old Scott made her World Cup debut in Mont Gabriel (CAN) back in 2012 and up-to-date she has 10 World Cup podiums and 3 victories to her record as well as two World Championships medals - bronze in Voss (2013) and silver in Sierra Nevada (2017). More results can be found HERE.
On behalf on the entire FIS Freestyle Ski family we would like to wish Danielle Scott a quick recovery and we’re looking forward to seeing her on tour in 2020/21.
