After a successful aerials qualification session for the women in the morning that saw Australia’s Danielle Scott lead the top 12 skiers into Wednesday’s finals, the Bakuriani 2023 World Championships men’s aerials qualification was postponed due to heavy winds that came on just after the women’s results were in the books.

While their were some occasional pauses as athletes waited for winds to ease up during the women’s qualification jumps, come time for men’s speed checks the gusts had picked up significantly. With those winds forecast to increase throughout the day the jury quickly made the decision to move men’s qualifications to Wednesday morning before finals, beginning at 10:30 local time (GET).

As long as the weather plays nice on Wednesday, the finals programme remains as scheduled, with the first athlete expected on course at 14:00  GET.
