After enduring a challenging setback that prevented her from participating in the pinnacle event of the season, the Bakuriani 2023 World Championships, as well as contending for the coveted World Cup crystal globes, freestyle skiing sensation Anri Kawamura (JPN) is back on snow and ready to reclaim her spot at the top. Showing unwavering determination and resilience, Anri recently took part in Japan's Mogul Team spring camp in Whistler, and her return has been nothing short of impressing.

Anri's journey in 2022/23 has been marked by both success and adversity. After an explosive start with three victories and a total of seven top-3 World Cup finishes, her mid-season injury had forced her to step away from the competition scene, putting her dreams on hold. No doubt it was a challenging time for Anri as she watched from the sidelines, unable to showcase her skills at the world champs and pursue the World Cup titles.

However, setbacks have a way of fueling the fire within champions, and Anri was determined to come back stronger than ever. After undergoing a rigorous rehabilitation process and months of hard work, she finally returned to the snow for the first time since her injury. Despite the time away from competition, she has seamlessly picked up where she left off, showcasing her incredible technique during the spring training camp in Canada.

With her impressive comeback in Whistler, Anri is now setting her sights on future competitions. While she missed out on the World Championships and the World Cup crystal globes this season, her return to the slopes fills us with anticipation and renewed hope. As we eagerly await the next freestyle skiing season, which is just a couple of months away, we can't help but imagine Anri's comeback, where she will undoubtedly showcase her incredible talent and style once again.
