Deer Valley launches NorAm moguls tour with flair

Amidst a backdrop of falling snow, over 80 athletes from the USA, Canada, Australia, and France gathered to showcase their skills in a two-day moguls extravaganza. The event, featuring both individual and dual moguls competitions, commenced with much anticipation on what is currently regarded as the world's most challenging moguls course, presenting a formidable test for the aspiring and emerging talents.
On the women's front, American athlete Kasey Hogg, fresh from her training and competition experience on this very course during the previous week's World Cup, dominated the field. Hogg clinched victories in both the moguls and dual moguls events, asserting her prowess and adaptability.
The competition saw Canadians Jessica Linton and Maya Mikkelsen securing the second and third spots, respectively, in both events, showcasing the depth and talent within the Canadian team.
The men's competition was equally compelling, featuring several contenders with World Cup experience. In the moguls event, Canadian Quinn Dawson outperformed his peers, including teammate Samuel Goodison and USA's Charlie Mickel, to achieve his second career NorAm victory.
The dual moguls saw an intense showdown, with Canada's Coley Carey narrowly defeating Charles Beaulieu in a gripping 18-17 match. Meanwhile, Australia's George Murphy claimed the third spot on the podium after a closely contested 18-17 battle against Charlie Mickel for the bronze.
