Hintertux kicks off the moguls season in style
Nov 06, 2023·FreestyleMoguls season launched into high gear this weekend on the slopes of Austria's Hintertux Glacier. Despite a snowy start on Saturday that postponed the action, clear skies prevailed Sunday, serving up back-to-back events with near-perfect conditions. With almost 40 athletes from 10 countries hitting the course, the energy was electric!
Sunday's Doubleheader
The women's competition kicked off with Seaoyoung Moon from Korea claiming the top spot in the first event, while Kazakhstan's Anastassiya Larinova followed up in second and USA's Emily Pederson completed the podium in third.
The second round saw a fierce comeback from the Czech Republic's Dorota Samankova, who soared to first place, shaking off an earlier stumble. Larionova, staying strong, bagged another second place, with teammate Yuliya Feklistova earning third.
On the men's side, Canada's Quinn Patton dominated the first event, with Yoon Seung Lee from Korea taking the silver spot and Denis Rastruba from Kazakhstan securing third.
Czech skier Marek Gajdecka amped up the excitement in the second event, snagging the win. Patton, not far behind, clinched another podium in second, and Jan Rubacek made it two Czechs in the top three.

Eyes on Idre
