Idre Fjäll gears up for the moguls classic FIS Open

This weekend, on November 18-19, Idre Fjäll (SWE) will host the season’s classic FIS Open moguls event, returning in full force and featuring a strong lineup with over 85 athletes from 11 countries participating.

A Gathering of Talents and Champions

This year's event is not just about emerging talents poised to compete in the Continental Cup; it also features stars from the World Cup circuit. Among the high-profile athletes are home squad’s favourites - 2022 Olympic Winter Games champion Walter Wallberg and the 2022/23 Rookie of the Year, Filip Gravenfors. Their participation is sure to raise the level of competition and excitement.

A New Challenge on the Course

Adding to the anticipation, the competition will unfold on the brand new World Cup course at Idre Fjäll. This course, boasting a length of 240 meters and an inclination of 27.8%, is a true test of skill and endurance. It will later host a double World Cup event in December, making this FIS Open a sneak peek into the challenges that lie ahead for the athletes.

Event Schedule

Both Saturday and Sunday's events are scheduled to start at 9:55 CET with the women's qualifications. The men will follow suit with their qualifiers at 11:35, culminating in the finals at 14:00, ensuring continuous competition’s action throughout the day.
