U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team announces 2023/24 Freestyle roster
Oct 17, 2023·FreestyleThe U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team is ready to dazzle the world stage with the recent announcement of its 2023/24 freestyle roster. This roster will represent the US flag in the upcoming 2023/24 FIS Freestyle World Cup events in both moguls and aerials and will also compete in the NAC Continental Cup.
The aerials team boasts an impressive lineup, featuring the 2022 Olympic gold medalists Ashley Caldwell, Chris Lillis, and Justin Schoenefeld. Joining them are the 2022 Olympic bronze medalist Megan Nick and the 2023 world champion, Quinn Dehlinger. On the moguls' side, the squad will be led by the 2022 Olympic silver medalist Jaelin Kauf and Nick Page.
The FIS Freestyle World Cup season commences in Ruka, Finland, from December 2-3. It's noteworthy that the 2023-24 calendar includes two domestic events. The first is the FIS Freestyle World Cup at Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, scheduled for January 26-27, marking the first moguls World Cup at the renowned “Birthplace of Freestyle Skiing.” Following this is the much-anticipated Intermountain Health Freestyle International at Utah's Deer Valley Resort from February 1-3.
According to Matt Gnoza, the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Freestyle Sport Director, "The team could not be more excited about the upcoming season, and to host two freestyle World Cups on home soil for the first time in years. The athletes have put in a lot of hard work this summer, and I'm confident they will be successful this season."
