China goes 1-2 in Aerials Mixed Team Event to conclude 2025 FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships in Almaty
Jan 11, 2025·FreestyleThe 2025 FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships wrapped up in style on the fifth and final day, as Team China delivered another dominant performance in the Aerials Mixed Team event at Almaty’s Shymbulak Mountain Resort.
China reclaimed the Junior World Championships title in the mixed team format with a stellar showing. The gold medal-winning trio of Qixian Wang, Jiubo Gu, and Hu Geng put on a phenomenal display in the super final, earning an outstanding 276.21 points to secure the top spot on the podium.
Silver went to another Chinese team, represented by Jinx Feng, Zhicheng Yang, and Yuheng Yang, who delivered a strong performance with a combined score of 256.34 points. In the final round, Yuheng Yang attempted to elevate the team’s score with a daring double Full-double Full but was unable to stick the landing, leaving the team to settle for second place.
Canada claimed the bronze medal with an impressive showing by Victoria Cote, Elliot Primeau, and Elliot Beauregard, finishing the competition with a score of 230.72 points.
The Aerials Mixed Team event marked the conclusion of a fantastic week of competition at the Junior World Championships, showcasing incredible performances from the world’s best young freestyle athletes.
