European moguls season launched in full swing at Hintertux

With two days of perfect weather and a meticulously prepared course, the weekend saw intense action, with athletes hitting airs and navigating bumps with skill and style.
Athletes from all levels flocked to Hintertux for valuable early-season training. From elite World Cup competitors to emerging talents in the NorAm and European Cups—and even those experiencing their first competitive event—everyone had the chance to fine-tune their skills and test their mettle. The event effectively bridged the preparation and competitive seasons, setting an exciting tone for what's to come.
On Saturday, Kazakhstan’s mogul stars Anastassiya Gorodko and Pavel Kolmakov led the pack in the single moguls event. The 19-year-old Junior World Champion, Gorodko, dominated the women’s competition, claiming first place ahead of her teammate Ayaulum Amrenova, with Australia’s Xanthia Coote securing third. In the men’s event, World Cup veteran Kolmakov showcased his experience, taking the win ahead of USA’s Nate Gendron, with Kazakhstan’s Anton Bondarev completing the podium.
Following Saturday's successful event, Sunday saw an electrifying head-to-head dual moguls competition. Once again, Kazakhstan’s dynamic duo, Gorodko and Kolmakov, seized the day, each taking their second victory of the weekend. Gorodko prevailed in the women's big final against Austrian favorite Katharina Ramsauer, while Sophie Wesse clinched third by besting Amrenova in a tight matchup. In the men's final, Kolmakov emerged victorious against the USA’s Jackson Crockett, with Gendron taking third after a close dual against Bondarev, marking his second top-three finish of the weekend.
