Livigno delivers first Olympic venue for 2026 Games

This newly inaugurated facility at Carosello 3000 will host seven medal events for Moguls and Aerials, making it a centerpiece of freestyle skiing at the Games.
The unveiling of this venue marks an essential milestone as preparations for the Olympics intensify. The course is ready not only for the Games but also for hosting major international events in the lead-up to 2026. Among these will be the first Olympic World Cup test event, featuring the season finals of Moguls, Dual Moguls, and Aerials on 11-13 March, 2025.
This event will be particularly noteworthy as it takes place in Livigno, where Dual Moguls will make their Olympic debut in 2026. Known for its fast pace and thrilling head-to-head format, Dual Moguls promises to captivate audiences on the biggest stage in winter sports. The upcoming World Cup final is poised to deliver unforgettable action and set the tone for what’s to come.
The Aerials and Moguls courses reflect Livigno’s commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability. These cutting-edge facilities not only meet Olympic standards but also position Livigno as a future hub for international freestyle skiing competitions.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together several dignitaries, including Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Matteo Salvini, Undersecretary of the Council of Ministers Alessandro Morelli, and Lombardy’s Infrastructure Councillor Claudia Terzi.
The event offered a glimpse into the broader Olympic preparations in Livigno, including the upcoming Livigno Snow Park at Mottolino and the Olympic Village, as well as the completion of other key venues.
Livigno’s President, Luca Moretti, reflected on this moment:
