Coaches Education in Tajikistan

NSA successfully conducted an Alpine Skiing Coaches Seminar. The program was conducted with the support of the IOC Olympic Solidarity.

A total of 15 male and 1 female participants attended the course under the guidance of the IF expert, Mr. Omid Tir. The seminar took place in Varzob at the Safed-Dara Ski Resort in Tajikistan.

The seminar included extensive practical work with both on-snow and off-snow sessions, including video analysis in the afternoon. In addition to practical sessions, the coaches were introduced to the International Competition Rules (ICR) and the most important elements of course setting in Slalom (SL) and Giant Slalom (GS). Furthermore, safety, as an important aspect of skiing, was thoroughly discussed.

During the course, 10 athletes from the Tajikistan national team were present to test the course settings and provide feedback to the coaches.
