100 years of success, inspiration for a new FIS World Ski Championships

100 years of Champions! Ski Association of Slovenia celebrated its centennial and awarded the most successful athletes of the 2022/2023 season in all disciplines.

The event with 500 guests took place in the capital Ljubljana where the documentary about the rich history of SAS was presented for the first time. In the presence of eminent guests from Slovenian sport, business and politics, including The President of Slovenia Mrs.Nataša Pirc Musar, the SAS President Enzo Smrekar emphasised that the rich history is an obligation for the future evolution of the most successful sport in Slovenia.

We have entered in the development phase of the Association and will work hard on fulfilling the new vision.

As a surprise, he announced that he will propose the candidacy of Planica for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 2031 to the executive board of the Association in the next year.
