Development – Successful speed training camp in Val Gardena
Dec 12, 2023·Inside FISThe Saslong Classic Club, a candidate for the Alpine World Ski Championships in 2029, organized a highly efficient and successful speed training camp in Val Gardena from November 27th to 30th, in collaboration with FIS.
Eighty young female athletes from 18 National Ski Associations (ALB; AND; AUT; AUS; CHI; CZE; FRA; GER; HUN; IRL; ISL; ISR; ITA; LAT; MKD; RSA; SLO; SVK) and more than 35 coaches had the opportunity to train on a meticulously prepared slope under perfect weather conditions.
The first training day was dedicated to Super-G, while the last two days focused on Downhill training, with four runs a day for each participant. The training sessions were followed by one Super-G and two Downhill competitions for men and women on December 1st and 3rd.
