The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) sent out today an invitation for potential bidders to tender for the media rights to several upcoming editions of the crown jewel of the snow sports world: the FIS World Championships.

“This invitation to tender is an encapsulation of the hard work that we have been putting into enhancing and modernizing our approach to media rights, a process that, at its core, is a sports development endeavor. It is a necessary step for elite snow sports to thrive — survive, even — through into the 21st century,” says FIS President Johan Eliasch.

This is because every cent we earn is destined for one same goal: to be reinvested into better events, more rewarding conditions for athletes, infrastructure for national associations, and, ultimately, the development of snow sports.Johan Eliasch, FIS President
