In focus: year 2 of the FIS Strategic Plan

In 2023, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) published the first edition of its Strategic Plan: a five-year roadmap of where the organization is heading and what objectives it was set to achieve.
Times move fast, of course, so not only is the plan updated on a yearly basis but, after each season, FIS is committed to publishing a report on the plan’s progress.

“The Strategic Plan is bold and ambitious. Ambition, though, is nothing without action. We are determined to make real progress – and for that, we must constantly hold ourselves accountable,” says FIS President Johan Eliasch, who highlights the three key priorities set forth in the plan:
Ensuring that the sport is as sustainable as possible
Unleashing commercial potential by centralizing our media rights
Embracing all disciplines, all nations and athletes of all abilities in the FIS family
