President Johan Eliasch elected as IOC Member

During the 142nd IOC Session held in Paris, just days before the official opening of the 2024 Summer Olympics, FIS President Johan Eliasch was elected as an IOC Member.
To be elected an IOC member and have the opportunity to play an active role in promoting the values of the Olympic Movement is a great honour.– Johan Eliasch, FIS President
As stated in the Olympic Charter: "Members of the IOC represent and promote the interests of the IOC and of the Olympic Movement in their countries and in the organisations of the Olympic Movement in which they serve". IOC Members meet annually at the IOC Session, during which, notably, the Olympic Games' hosts are elected.
