44th International Ski Congress 2004 - Miami (USA)

There was little time for most delegates to explore the attractions of Miami and Florida with an intensive programme of 45 meetings of the various committees, sub-committees and working groups taking place prior to the International Ski Congress.

58 affiliated National Ski Associations with 141 delegates were present at the 44th International Ski Congress on Friday 4th June, whilst 934 persons were accredited during the Congress week in Miami.

Of note was the new worldwide applicable rules for the sports movement and governmental organisations were unanimously adopted with the World Anti-Doping Code and FIS Anti-Doping Rules.

To improve the communications to all member National Associations, the media and other organisations, a “FIS Newsflash” will be introduced approximately 30 times per year, distributed on a weekly basis during the competition season. For prompt distribution it will be sent wherever possible by e-mail and produced in English only.
