First Masters Indoor Grand Prix a resounding success

This innovative competition not only drew a remarkable 52% increase in participation compared to 2023 but also reinforced the growth and enthusiasm within the Masters racing community.
Following the kickoff of the FIS Masters Cup in September in the Southern Hemisphere, the Northern Hemisphere traditionally begins its season in November with a series of indoor slalom events. This year, a fresh concept elevated the series: the FIS Masters Indoor Grand Prix, which featured seven thrilling slalom races across three venues—Wittenburg (GER), Amnéville (FRA), and Oslo (NOR).
Prizes were awarded to the overall winners, adding a competitive edge to the series. The format proved to be a game-changer, attracting a broader range of participants and further solidifying the event's place on the Masters racing calendar.
Another highlight of the season was the introduction of Jean-Louis Galinier as the first-ever FIS Masters Race Director. Under his leadership, the Masters community aims to enhance the safety, quality, and overall experience of the competitions.
