Just in time for the 4x5km Team Event, snow arrived in Kandersteg and turned the Nordic Arena into a Winter Wonderland. By the end of the day the old and new Junior World Champion was Austria.

The jumping round was a head-to-head race between Norway and Austria. The longest jump of the whole field however, belonged to the new Junior World Champion Ondrej Pazout from the Czech Republic, who didn’t let the heavy snowfall impress him at all and landed at 102m. This jump brought his team into fourth place. One minute and four seconds behind the leading Austrians and 14 seconds behind Germany on third place.

Austria started 16 seconds ahead of Norway and never let their opponents get any closer throughout the race. In the end Johannes Lamparter, Florian Dagn, Dominik Terzer and Mika Vermeulen were able to celebrate a clear win.

The distribution of the second and third place however, was not so clear after all. While Norway was able to begin the race 34 seconds ahead of Germany, it was Luis Lehnert who was able to  equalise the German disadvantage with a very strong cross country performance, being the second athlete out on the track.

Also Constantin Schnurr and Julian Schmid were able to show a very solid performance and enlarge their advantage over Norway to more than one minute in the end. The teams from Czech Republic, France and Finland followed on fourth, fifth and sixth position.
