41 children took part in the 13th edition of the Austrian Ski Federation’s Nordic Combined youngster camp in Hochfilzen and Saalfelden and were introduced to this ultimate winter sport and its basic techniques. 35 boys and six girls from five different states were offered an attractive programme by 10 coaches and staff.

The group went through jumping sessions at the hills in Saalfelden and did roller ski training in Hochfilzen, all the while offering a playful chance to discover the sport of Nordic Combined.

Responsible for the camp from ÖSV side was Günther Chromecek, who was delighted with the success after the camps end: ”The camp is always a lot of fun and I hope we were able to infect many of the children with the Nordic Combined virus. I especially like to highlight the positive development on the girls’ side, as well as the chance to exchange opinions and experiences with the different state level federations. The camp always brings people together.”
