Busy summer for Japanese team
Aug 31, 2018·Nordic CombinedThe Japanese team around head coach Takanori Kohno has been busy already during spring and will continue to do so also in the upcoming Summer Grand Prix period.
Currently, overall World Cup winner Akito Watabe, brother Yoshito Watabe, Go Yamamoto and Hideaki Nagai are currently in ski jumping camp in Hakuba. They will be joined by Go Sonehara and Shimizu Aguri at the end of the month when the team convenes at the National Sports Science Centre in Tokyo for wind tunnel tests and roller ski training.
After this, the athletes have to say goodbye to Japan for a while as they head to Europe for a training camp at the World Championship venue of Seefeld from August 1st and the following Summer Grand Prix events in Oberwiesenthal, Villach and Oberstdorf until August 27.
