As customary shortly before the season start, the Polish team has not been idle. Training camps in Germany, Austria, Poland and Finland were and still are on schedule.

To start the busy period off, the team of new head coach Danny Winkelmann travelled to Garmisch-Partenkirchen (GER) to train on the ice track of the local jumping hill. After a few days of training, the team moved to Ramsau am Dachstein in Austria to train on the glacier until the end of the month of October.

Accompanied also by coach Tomislav Tajner, Adam Cieslar, Pawel Slowiok and best junior Piotr Kudzia spent some productive days in Mid-Europe and were later joined by Szczepan Kupczak, who also had to make room for his studies at the university of Katowice, as well as assistant coach Piotr Pirowka and physiotherapist Daniel Hankus. Youngster Pawel Twardosz was not able to attend the camp due to a cold.

After their return to Poland, the group also trained on the ice track in Wisla for several days. The stay in their home country was not of a long duration as the team is also headed for Scandinavia. With the service staff driving all equipment to Kuusamo, it was only the head coach and the team who flew to get ready for the season opening in just two short weeks. The Polish athletes for the first competitions of the winter will be announced shortly.
