The first winner of a Ladies’ Nordic Combined event in the season 2018/19 is from Italy: Daniela Dejori won the Alpencup event in Klingenthal ahead of Germany’s Spohia Maurus and teammate Lena Prinoth.

In the jumping event, which was the first round of the special jumping event taking place on the same date, Sophia Maurus had captured the pole position with 104.5 points, followed by Lisa Hirner (AUT) with 100.5 and Emiliy Schneider (GER) with 95 points.

24 out of the 53 competitors of the ski jumping event started the cross-run in the afternoon that determined the winner of the Nordic Combined event. Maurus lead until shortly before the finish at the 3 km point but was stopped by Daniela Dejori, who had started the race with a time behind of 30 seconds and from rank four. Her teammate Lena Prinoth narrowed a one minute and 39 second gap to 45.8 seconds and made up 14 positions from rank 17 to a final third position. Maurus defended the second rank and finished 2.2 seconds after the winner.
