Falun plans ski premiere for 1st of November

On November 1, 2017, Falun, Sweden will have its ski premiere with snow guarantee at the Lugnet venue in Falun, Sweden.

After a record amount of snow could be preserved after the last winter, the Organising Committee in Falun is now taking the next step to offer snowy training conditions both in the ski jumping hill and in the cross-country tracks. The project made a successful debut in 2017 and now athlete, teams and clubs from all over world will be able to return and train on real snow in Falun from November, 1st onwards.

The venue of the 2015 World Championships, Lugnet Arena, is located 2,5 hours from Arlanda Stockholm airport. It is near the center of Falun city with shopping and restaurants. The area offers a variety of hotels and cabins and secondary training facilities like indoor swimming pools, ice halls, fitness halls, gym and cafés and restaurants to unwind. It will also be possible to carry out different tests at a modern sports laboratory in cooperation with the Dalarna University.
