“Golden Ski for Frenzel & Rydzek”

During the season outfitting, the German Ski Federation also honours its successful athletes and coaches every year. Also in this year, the “Golden Ski” for the most outstanding performances in each discipline, the “Junior Athlete of the Year” and the “DSV-Ski Athlete of the Year” were awarded.
Even though biathlete Laura Dahlmeier was elected to the Ski Athlete of the Year by her fellow athletes, Nordic Combined dominators Eric Frenzel and Johannes Rydzek were still awarded with the “Golden Ski” for their outstanding season 2016/17. Youngster Vinzenz Geifer was rewarded with the “Junior Athlete of the Year” for his first podium result and great winter of 2016/17.
