Ilkka Herola wins Summer Challenge 2018

The Finnish Nordic Combined team met for their annual Summer Challenge during a training camp in Vuokatti and Ilkka Herola emerged victorious from the 4 km cross-country run, followed by 2 jump on the HS 100 normal hill and 3 km of roller-skiing to end the day.

Herola was the fastest runner in the Mass Start race with 13:07 minutes and also started the final roller-ski race from the pole position after two strong jumps on the hill. 10 minutes and 14 seconds later, Herola crossed the finish line first, beating Arttu Mäkiaho and Leevi Mutru for the top spot on the podium.

In the junior category, Wille Karhumaa took the win ahead of Perttu Reponen and Atte Kettunen.
