Jason Lamy Chappuis, who had his first skiing experience on his dad's back when he was just one year old, can be truly considered one of the Greats of Nordic Combined. He discovered his passion for combining ski jumping and cross-country skiing when he moved to France in 1991 after living in the USA the first five years of his life.

Since then, Lamy Chappuis has won nearly everything there is to win in Nordic Combined: he's a World Champion (Oslo 2011, Val di Fiemme 2013), Olympic Champion (Vancouver 2010) and three times overall World Cup winner. At the World Championships in Falun in 2015, Lamy Chappuis came away with two bronze medals in the individual and team event and a gold medal in the Team Sprint, together with teammate Francois Braud. Immediately after this triumph, he announced his career end, at just 28 years of age.

Flying is his passion - not only in ski jumping, but also off the hills. So, it's no wonder that Lamy Chappuis, who has been taking flying lessons since he was 18 years old, chose to pursue this as his professional future after his sports career.
