Pawel Slowiok claims Polish national title

It was by 0.3 seconds that Pawel Slowiok beat rival Adam Cieslar for the Polish national title in Szczyrk on the past weekend. After leading in the jumping event with 124 points, Szczepan Kupczak had to be satisfied with the bronze medal after the roller-ski race, finishing 3.7 seconds later than Slowiok.

Pawel Twardosz and Wojciech Marusarz shared the second place in the jumping event (114.5 points) but were overtaken by Slowiok and Cieslar during the race. Adam Cieslar was the fastest skier. He needed 22:50.8 for the 10 kilometre race. Pawel Slowiok, starting from rank four with a time behind of 42 seconds, was four seconds slower in the race.

In the end, the trio of Slowiok, Cieslar and Kupczak won with a clear margin. Four-ranked Pawel Twardosz finished one minute and two seconds after the winner, Wojciech Marusarz ended on position five.
