In the winter of 2014/15, Orter was able to achieve several Top 15 results and also got the chance to start at the World Championships in Falun. In 2015/16, he followed up with four Top Ten results on the World Cup tour, giving him a Top 20 finish in the overall standings for the first time. The 2016/17 season gave Orter his first World Championship medal, a bronze medal with the team. In the World Cup, he repeated his 17th overall ranking from the season before.
